About Mrs. Broadhurst
I live in Middletown with my husband of 22 years, our two terrific teenage children, and two of the sweetest cats you will ever meet.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Georgian Court University and my Masters in Educational Administration from The University of Scranton.
This is my 21st year teaching middle school, and 18th year teaching in Holmdel. I taught in Edison prior to having my second child. I took one year off to be a full-time mom to my two-year old and newborn before starting my career in Holmdel. Although I have taught all subjects, I have taught Science the majority of my career. Life Science and Physics are my favorite subjects to teach.
Although I don’t play any musical instruments, I absolutely love most genres of music. I attend concerts whenever possible, and hope to see my favorite band, The Cure, at least one more time before they retire. This love of music translates to the classroom, where I tend to incorporate songs to remember content, and sometimes just to lift our spirits! This past summer I have gotten into gardening, and plan to expand my garden each year. I love to laugh, bowl, exercise (weights, yoga, jogging, Peloton) eat cookies, relax at the beach in the off-season, and spend time with my family. I dislike shopping in stores, and untangling tangled things.
I’m excited to be working with Ms. George for the majority of the school day this year. You will have fun, and learn a lot with us! I can’t wait to learn more about each of you as we explore scientific phenomena and investigate scientific inquiries together.
